Webflow Integration

Webflow Documentation

Everything you need to integrate Meshr with your Webflow site using OAuth

Quick Start

OAuth Connection

  1. Log in to your Meshr dashboard
  2. Click "Add Website" and select Webflow as your platform
  3. Click "Connect with OAuth" to initiate the Webflow authorization flow
  4. You'll be redirected to Webflow to authorize Meshr
  5. After authorization, you'll be redirected back to Meshr
  6. Select your Webflow site from the list
  7. Meshr will automatically discover your site and collections

Setting Up OAuth

Webflow uses OAuth 2.0 for secure API access. This allows Meshr to access your Webflow CMS without storing your password.

Step-by-Step OAuth Guide

  1. When you click "Connect with OAuth", Meshr initiates the authorization request
  2. You'll be redirected to Webflow's authorization page
  3. Review the permissions requested (sites:read, sites:write, pages:read, pages:write, cms:read, cms:write, components:read)
  4. Click "Authorize" to grant Meshr access to your Webflow account
  5. Webflow will redirect you back to Meshr with an authorization code
  6. Meshr exchanges this code for an access token (this happens automatically)
  7. Your Webflow sites will appear in the Meshr dashboard

After Connection

Once your Webflow account is connected, Meshr will:

  1. Discover all sites associated with your Webflow account
  2. Allow you to select which site(s) you want to analyze
  3. Automatically detect CMS collections and pages
  4. Begin analyzing your content for internal linking opportunities

API Permissions

Required Scopes

Meshr requires the following Webflow API permissions:

  • sites:read - Read site information and structure
  • sites:write - Update site configuration (for future features)
  • pages:read - Read published and draft pages
  • pages:write - Update pages with internal links
  • cms:read - Read CMS collections and items
  • cms:write - Update CMS items with internal links
  • components:read - Read component information

These permissions allow Meshr to analyze your content and automatically add internal links to improve your SEO.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Connection fails

Make sure you're using the correct Webflow account. If you have multiple accounts, ensure you're logged into the one that owns the site you want to connect.

Sites not appearing

Only sites where you have owner or admin access will appear. If a site doesn't show up, check your permissions in Webflow.

Reconnecting your account

If you need to reconnect, go to your Meshr dashboard, disconnect the existing connection, and reconnect using OAuth again.
